Incarceron

Incarceron is a prison so vast that it contains not only cells, but also metal forests, dilapidated cities, and vast wilderness. Finn, a seventeen-year-old prisoner, has no memory of his childhood and is sure that he came from Outside Incarceron. Very few prisoners believe that there is an Outside, however, which makes escape seems impossible. And then Finn finds a crystal key that allows him to communicate with a girl named Claudia. She claims to live Outside - she is the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, and doomed to an arranged marriage. Finn is determined to escape the prison, and Claudia believes she can help him. But they don't realize that there is more to Incarceron than meets the eye. Escape will take their greatest courage and cost more than they know.

  1. I like Incarceron because one of the main characters, Finn, is determined to get him and his friends out of the prison. Another reason I like this book is because another main character, Claudia, is trying to get out of her arranged marriage and she is also trying to make the world better for everyone else.

  4. I think it would be a good movie. You would have to be in a dark place for setting and would have to have good characters. The character for Finn would have to be loyal, for Claudia she would have to be brave, and for Keiro he would have to be bold. It would be a long movie. It would be kind of hard to switch between Claudia's and Finn's life. But it would still be a very good movie.

  5. It would be kinda hard to make a movie out of it. It would be a long movie. It would be in a dark era that was cold & have an icy feeling to it. To make it better in the movie would need lots of details in it to describe the inside of the prison. Like those red eyes looking out of the dark staring at you with the alarms, gas,& slamming metal doors to keep all the gas inside the room. That would be at the end of the fight. Finn would be strong & brave. The warden would be tall strong & have experience being a good leader in order to run a prison. Claudia would be strong, bold,& fearless.

    1. Good job, Sean! You put a lot of thought into answering the questions and thinking about the qualities the actors would have to show.

  6. The problem is that Finn is chosin to be a tribute to go to the cave to meet the beast. Finn got trapped under a big heavy net he can't move at all. Finn has the key in his pocket & guads are coming with dogs to take him prisoner. When the gaurds search him they'll find & take the Key and won't give it back. Finn is forced to give his othbrother Keiro they Key. Finn worries that Claudia will try to talk to Finn & Keiro has the Key & dosn't know how it works. The main charater can't do any thing because he is a prisioner. And Keiro has the Key but dosn't know how to use it. Claudia tryies to talk to Finn but Keiro has the Key & Claudia notices that she isn't talking to Finn & demands to talk to Finn but he can't because, he's in prision. The main charater can't do anything about the problem. The other charaters would've ofered to take the Key insted of Keiro because they might never see him agian because hew might not come back. I think Finn should've givin the Key to another person not Keiro even though he was his othbrother

  7. I recommend this book if you like adventure. A weakness in this book i think is the beginning I don't understand it at all. It's hard to understand the book when you are switching points of view almost every paragraph. I think it would help if there was some back ground knowlegde about the charters. It has good details like the red eyes that follow the charters around. In the begging when Finn was chained to the railroad tracks i really see that. I really like how the auther desribed the eagle in the key when it was activating. I'm enjoying the book!

  8. A different book title for this book could be "Saving Finn". The reason i think that's a good name because most of the book was about saving Finn from prison. The old title only had the prison's name & had nothing about saving Finn in the title. Claudia was the warden's daughter & knew about the Key her father didn't even excised to her father. First Claudia thought that the prison's warden was her father until she entered the prison. The prison told her the truth that she was the Prison's daughter.
